Merridun is an antebellum mansion listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. The originally Georgian house was built in 1855-57 by William Keenan, a local merchant and mayor of Union.

According to the Wlodarski's, the inn is haunted by a number of ghosts, including former owners, children, native Americans, and a whole host of others.

Reported phenomena include apparitions, being woken by something touching you, the sounds of laughter and footsteps, the smells of cigar smoke and perfume, and cold spots.
